Good Practices” for tomorrow’s professionals – Rescop’s GxP educational program

Starting your career as a young professional in pharma?

Chances are, one of the first job requirements you’ll see is:
‘Knowledge of GMP preferred.’
So, how do you stand out when you’re fresh out of school?

Since 2021, Rescop introduces bachelor students to the basics of GxP Quality Management, as part of the Minor program, Slim Plannen en Organiseren in de Zorg (SPOZ), at one of the Universities of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

This program introduces the basics of GxP in the pharmaceutical industry to student groups with diverse Bachelor program backgrounds, unrelated to pharmaceuticals as for example Logistics, facility management, and Business management students.

During the GxP training program, key topics in the pharmaceutical industry are covered, divided into four blocks. These sessions include GxP principles:

  • Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Legislation
  • Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity
  • Quality management systems (QMS) and good documentation practices (GdocP)

The educational program is designed to be interactive and dynamic. Throughout the sessions, students are encouraged to think critically, engage in discussions, and take ownership of their learning process.  The program is a mix of self-study, group-assignments, individual assignments, presentation skills and interactive and funny games.

Who knew Jenga could be used as case study?
Because nothing says ‘risk assessment’ like a collapsing tower!

After completing the GxP training program, students receive an official Rescop certificate, proving their “Knowledge of GxP”.
Students can explain and demonstrate the importance of GxP regulations and can apply this knowledge in future regulated work environments.

These GxP basics aren’t limited to pharmaceuticals; it translates to a professional standard of ‘Good Practices’ valued across many industries.

If you’d like to explore whether this GxP educational program fits your life science curriculum, or discuss a customized version tailored to your needs, feel free to reach out.
